Life Group - Doing Life Together Life Group Ministry at CityLife Church

Life Groups are small groups of people who meet together regularly in an informal environment - usually in homes or work places, but potentially anywhere! We have Life Groups for Young People, Campus Students, Young Adults, Young Marrieds, Singles, Parents, Adults, Families, Business People and a variety of age groups. Life Groups generally meet 3 times each month.

People can easily attend church, be part of a large crowd but never really get involved, make friends, develop their spiritual gifts and be accountable in a practical way. Our Life Groups fulfil these important elements of church life. As we get bigger, we have to get smaller at the same time - we do this through Life Groups. Life Group Leaders are also available to pray, visit, counsel and support their members in any way needed.

We would therefore encourage everybody to not only attend Celebration Meetings, but also be connected to a Life Group.

The Purpose of Life Groups
  1. A Life Group is a Care Group
    It is a place where Christians can gather together to care for one another through encouragement and practical expressions of love and kindness.
  2. A Life Group is a Disciple Making Group
    It is a place where Christians can grow together to become fervent followers of Jesus Christ through the process of discipling, teaching and mentoring.
  3. A Life Group is a Ministry Group
    It is a place where Christians can develop and use their God-given gifts and abilities to help others.
  4. A Life Group is an Outreach Group
    It is a place where Christians can bring their friends, neighbours and relatives in order for them to experience the life that is in Jesus Christ.
 
I need the Life Group!

  • To grow in my relationship with God and others.
  • To find strength when I am in need.
  • To develop the ministries that God has given me.
  • To help me evangelise.
The Life Group needs me!
  • To share my faith in Christ.
  • To meet the practical needs of others.
  • To be part of a team.
